Sliema have been confirmed as champions of the BOV Under-20 Men Winter Water Polo League following an outstanding and unbeaten campaign that has secured them the title on the final game of the season. Their consistent performances throughout the league underline the strength, depth and quality of youth development within Maltese water polo.
The championship was sealed when Sliema overcame closest rivals Neptunes 13-4 in the decisive fixture of the season played at the Birzebbuga pool.
With both teams having already demonstrated high standards of competition throughout the campaign, the encounter marked a fitting climax to an exciting Under-20 season.

The Champions’ trophy was presented by Stefan Abela, Community Relations Manager at Bank of Valletta, together with Karl Izzo, President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta. The occasion once again highlighted the strong collaboration between Bank of Valletta and the ASA, particularly in relation to the development of young athletes and the long-term sustainability of aquatic sports in Malta.
