Sliema Frank Salt and Marsaxlokk MFF Ltd won the first legs of heir respective water polo Premier Division and First Division finals against San Giljan JP Projects and Exiles Wellbees.
In the first match, Marsaxlokk easily defeated Exiles by 19 goals to 12 whilst in the second game, Sliema got the better of San Giljan by 12 goals to 8 to inflict the Saints’ second defeat in a row after the Blues had beaten them to win the Knockout.
The next round of games will be played tomorrow as follows. If Sliema and Marsaxlokk win their encounters, they will be crowned First Division and Premier Division champions respectively.
