Malta women got off to a mixed start in the Women’s U19 water polo European championships being held in Zagreb, Croatia.
Our girls won their first match in emphatic fashion beating Bulgaria 14-5. The goals were scored by Nadia Azzopardi and Kaia Agius (4), Elaya Montfort with 2 and a goal each from Elisa Amato, Martha Perici Ferrante, Eyla Schembri and Zayra Bartolo
In the second match played on Sunday, Malta lost 13-8 to Great Britain. Here our goals were scored by Nadia azzopardi and Kaia Agius with 3 each whilst Zaira Bartolo scored a brace.
Malta face Turkey later today and we will be updating you with that result too.
