Malta slumped to a 4th straight defeat in the U19 European Water Polo Championships being held in Zagreb, Croatia. The Maltese girls lost to Romania 13-12 in the 13th to 16th classification match and tomorrow, they will face Bulgaria for their final match, the 15/16th classification.
Malta’s scorers in the Romania match were as follows: Kaia Agius (5), Elise Amato (3), Eyla Schembri (3), Nadya Azzopardi (1).
Earlier in the week, Malta lost their matches against Great Britain 8-13, Germany 8-16 and Turkey 9-16 and won their first match against Bulgaria 14-5.
