It is being all documented….Olympic swimmer & 2× World Record holder Neil Agius takes on his toughest challenge yet: 7 marathon swims around Gozo in 7 days. That’s 294 km of open water, 105+ hours of swimming, burning 12,000 calories a day, and feeding every 28 minutes.
This is a swim designed to fail. But the Gozo 7 is not just about endurance, it’s about resilience, teamwork and the human spirit. In this first episode, you’ll see: Neil’s comeback from a back injury and the physio, medical testing and support that made this possible. The crew of heroes: doctors, sailors, filmmakers, who kept him alive and moving. The island of Gozo stood as both inspiration and test: its dramatic seas, rolling swells, and coastal winds shaping every moment of Neil’s swim. The first 2 marathon swims, where every hour felt like a fight against the impossible. Why you’ll be hooked:
- This is not a world record attempt. The Gozo 7 is a live experiment in resilience, deliberately designed to mirror everyday life. Just like a working day, Neil swims for ~15 hours, facing mornings when motivation is low, moments of exhaustion, and the need to reset and start again.
- Through breathwork, movement, and community, Neil shows how anyone, not just athletes, can recover, reset, and keep going. It’s not about being superhuman. It’s about being more human.
