Veintidos claimed victory in the Ducane Cup, held at the Malta Equidrome by the Malta Polo Club, in an intense match against Los Muchachos. The thrilling contest ended 6.5 to 5 in favour of Veintidos, showcasing some of the finest polo talent of the moment.
The match consisted of four high-calibre chukkas, with Los Muchachos initially dominating the scoreboard and racing to a 2-0 lead. However, Veintidos responded with determination, equalising the match and keeping the game finely balanced until the final moments.
Despite the evenly matched contest, Veintidos ultimately emerged as champions, delivering a composed and strategic performance to secure the title.
The Los Muchachos team featured Jeremy Besançon, Greg Gera, Matthew Grech, and Jean Vella, while Veintidos was represented by Karl Galea, Sarah Manduca, Bradlee Farrugia, and Matthew Borg.
