The prestigious Ivanhoe Cup, organized by the Malta Polo Club, saw Royal Artillery, Mariners, and Mixed Bag competing for the title. Over the course of six chukkas, Royal Artillery triumphed over Mixed Bag 3-1 but fell short against Mariners, losing 3-2. Meanwhile, Mixed Bag managed to beat Mariners 3-2.
After these matches, both Royal Artillery and Mariners had accumulated the same number of points, leading to the decision to share the cup.
Royal Artillery’s team consisted of Chris Delia, Mark Darmanin, Sarah Manduca, and Petra Vella, while Mariners were represented by Simon Psaila, Jean Vella, Luke Antonio Gatt Pace, and Max Galea. Mixed Bag was made up of Greg Gera, Bex Gera, Ivan Camilleri, and Emma Aquilina.
The umpires for the competition were Gaston Etcheberry and Jeremy Besancon, with Philip Wismayer serving as the third official. The event was supported by EquestriMalta.
