Swieqi clinch U15 championship for tenth consecutive year

The Under-15 Championship, organised by the Malta Volleyball Association, concluded over the weekend at the Cottonera Sports Complex. In their final match, Swieqi Phoenix Young Stars, sponsored by EY Malta, defeated Paola Maypole with a convincing 3-0 victory in straight sets.

This result secured the title for Swieqi, led by coaches Leonard Zammit Munro and Justin Montesin, who have now won the U15 championship for an incredible ten consecutive years — going unbeaten throughout the entire decade.

Following the match, Branko Vlahovic, President of the Malta Volleyball Association, presented the trophy and medals to the Swieqi technical staff and players in recognition of their dominance in the category.

In another U15 match, Birkirkara VC earned a solid 3-0 win over Falcons.

First Division Title Sealed by Paola Executive Security

The weekend also marked the end of the First Division Championship. In the final match, newly crowned champions and promoted side Paola Executive Security, coached by Michael Magro and Antonio Borg, wrapped up their season with a dominant 3-0 win against Swieqi Phoenix Challengers.

The team from Raħal Ġdid (Paola) finished the season unbeaten, without dropping a single set — a flawless campaign that underlines their readiness for the top flight.
