The Maltese number one looked to be heading for defeat after Öz dominated the first set, but Curmi gradually found her rhythm and battled back to edge a tense second set 7-5, forcing a deciding set.

The third set proved just as dramatic. Curmi held her nerve in the crucial moments, breaking at the right time before closing out the match 6-4 to seal her place in the final.

The victory marks another significant milestone in an excellent season for the 23-year-old, who continues to impress on the ITF circuit against higher-ranked opposition. Her determination and composure under pressure once again proved decisive as she overturned a one-set deficit to keep her title hopes alive.

Curmi will now turn her attention to the championship match, where she will be aiming to lift one of the biggest titles of her professional career.
