The Maltese players ended their commitments in the KO phase of the World Parkinsons Ping Pong Championships which are being held in Lasko in Slovenia with two bronze medals as they reached the semi-finals of this tournament.
In fact, both Anna Tabone and Adrian Casha reached the last four in their respective doubles category although they lost the semi-final they played for.
Adrian Casha played with Marjan Vitanc of Slovenia and lost against Kurt Bayer of Austria and Ivan Capan of Croatia 3-2.
On the other hand, Anna Tabone played with Anita Schultz of Germany and they were defeated by Tina Fischer and Daniela Beurer of Switzerland 3-1.
Germany won the largest amount of medals in these championships.
The Maltese contingent also had Francis Barbara and Ralph Accarino taking part with the Maltese players who were accompanied by coach Katia Mifsud and physiotherapist Geoffrey Formosa.
