A great performance was not enough for MITTC to take some points from the game against ASD Marcozzi of Italy as they were defeated 3-2 on the second day of qualifying games for the Table Tennis Europa Cup being held at the Santa Clara Secondary School in Pembroke. The Maltese team held firm against the Italians where they had Amir Abbasi who won both games for them. The other Maltese team in the competition ie HITT Academy Tibhar lost 3-0 against ASD Santa Tecla Nulvi. In other results, Panathinaikos of Greece continued their strong start after defeating Table Tennis Club Zeleznicar of Serbia 3-0 while ASD Santa Tecla Nulvi of Italy beat TTC Radnicki 1972 Beocin of Serbia 3-1 .
