Daniel Bajada won the individual national table tennis championship after defeating Luke Bonello 4-2 in a wonderful final.
Bajada had a consistent run throughout this tournament and had good wins in the elimination phase. In fact, in the quarter-finals he beat Andrew Gambina 4-0 so that in the semi-finals he recorded the same score against Conrad Puli.
After these results, Bajada claimed the first place in the national rankings. This was a great season for this Maltese player after playing in the European Cup with MITTC and international competitions organized by ETTU (European Table Tennis Union).
The doubles competitions were also held last weekend and even here Daniel Bajada achieved success together with Andrew Gambina who beat the Maltese couple Gabriel Grixti and Conrad Puli 3-2.
