Malta’s Zea Montfort produced an impressive performance at the Junior World Championships, finishing fifth in the Women’s Solo Free Preliminary.
Montfort placed fifth among competitors representing 22 countries, securing Malta a place among the leading nations in the event and finishing ahead of established artistic swimming countries including Italy and Canada.
The result marks another significant achievement for Maltese artistic swimming on the international stage.
Attention now turns to Sunday’s Solo Free Finals, where Malta will be represented in both the women’s and men’s competitions.
Montfort will be aiming to build on her strong preliminary performance as Malta continues its campaign at the Junior World Championships.
