Roderick Vella claimed victory in the first edition of the Tazza Jum il- Ħaddiem in the DTL discipline, held at the Bidnija Ranges on Sunday, 3 May 2026.
Vella produced the strongest performance of the competition, finishing with 291 points and 98 hits from 100 targets to secure the overall title.
Martin Xuereb placed second overall with 285 points and 96 hits, while third place was decided through a shoot-off after Clifton Coleiro and Dennis Grech both ended the event on 283 points. Grech prevailed in the shoot-off to take the final podium position.
In Class A, Vella topped the standings ahead of Grech and Coleiro. Xuereb led Class B with 285 points, followed by Christian Mercieca on 269 points and Joseph Zammit on 266 points. In Class C, Gabriel Micallef finished first with 266 points and 94 hits, ahead of Martin Zammit and Vincenzo Maisto.
The event marked the first running of the Jum il Ħaddiem competition in the DTL discipline, adding another competitive fixture to the local shooting calendar.
