Between Thursday, the 4th of July and Saturday, the 6th of July, the Malta Drag Racing Association is organising the much-awaited and unique 3rd round of the National Drag Racing Championship at Hal Far Raceway. This round is unique as it is organised in the evening to mitigate the hot conditions for which the month of July is famous, and offers a beautiful experience for Drag Racing fans and families that flock to Hal Far to enjoy the different atmosphere from the other rounds. This time round, the event is called Summer Shootout and is sponsored by Ladmu Chassis Builder.
The plan is that on all three days, gates open at 4 pm, and on the first day, Thursday the 4th of July, at 7 pm, the program will continue with testing and tuning, followed by the thrilling first round of races. On Friday, the 5th of July, at 7 pm, there will be rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5, and on Saturday, the 6th of July, again at 7 pm, there will be the eliminations, semi-finals and finals. On all days, gates close at 1 am.
