Malta Handball Association invites expressions of interest for Level 2 Coaching Course

The Malta Handball Association has opened an Expression of Interest for coaches wishing to enrol in a Level 2 Coaching Course that is scheduled to start in January 2026. The programme forms part of the Association’s initiatives within the European Handball Federation Masterplan and is designed to strengthen the technical, tactical and managerial competencies required to coach at an advanced level.

Course delivery will feature modules led by European Handball Federation experts, the Association’s Technical Director, and experienced local instructors. The curriculum will focus on player and team development, match analysis, training design and periodisation, leadership and communication, safeguarding and duty of care, and the practical application of modern coaching methods in the Maltese context.

Announcing the initiative, Malta Handball Association President Daniel Tabone said that developing more qualified coaches is essential to raising standards across the game. He underlined that investment in coaching education strengthens the foundations of the sport and supports long term growth at all levels.

Coaches and eligible applicants can register their interest through the Association’s website under the news section or directly via the online form. The deadline for submissions is 14 November 2025.

The Association encourages aspiring and active coaches to take this opportunity to continue their professional development and contribute to the growth of handball in Malta.
