Floriana Ajax Premier Cars are just one point away from winning the First Division Darts championship after beating Hamrun Bayern B 6-2.
The Greens dominated this game as they intended to continue with the positive moment they are going through. If they get at least one point from the difficult match they have against Ħamrun Bayern A, they are assured of retaining the title they won last season.
Hamrun Bayern A were held in a 4-4 draw against Birżebbuġa Lions with Żejtun Laċċi who took advantage as they jumped into second place in the table after a walk-over against Sliema Lounge A.
Floriana Ajax MCP continued to gather precious points after a score of 5-3 against PO’s Bar Gudja.
In the second division championship, Birgu Boċċi Club A were declared champions after beating Beland Żejtun 6-2. The Cottonera side had a very consistent season where they always kept the first place and with two games left to the end, they gained an advantage of eight points which cannot be reached by Duke’s Bar and Domus Men’s.
Domus Men’s and Duke’s Bar achieved victories against Zebbug Rangers DT (8-0) and Leah’s Bar A (5-3) to remain second in the table.
Meanwhile, Top Gun Bar scored an easy 8-0 win against Cox Bar.
In the third division, Leah’s Bar B remained in first place after beating Domus Ladies 7-1 with Żejtun Laċċi Maypole following although being held to a 4-4 draw against Birgu Boċċi Club B. The same score was recorded in the other game between Nicolo Isouard and Munchies Bar while Tal-Balklor Senglea did not find it easy at all to beat Sliema Lounge B.
