Floriana Young Stars maintain consistency as they beat the champions

Floriana Young Stars achieved an important 3-2 victory against current hockey champions Qormi Daikin to consolidate their place at the top of the national hockey league standings.

The Greens were very aggressive from the start as they were winning 3-0.  Towards the end Qormi reacted and reduced the score but it was too late in the day to achieve any points from this encounter.Ali Rizwan, Deemer Rapinett and Andrea Curmi scored the goals for Floriana with Qormi reducing the score twice through Luke Bajada and Steve Tanti.Umpires: Luke Busuttil Leaver and David Agius.In the Hockey 7s, GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks beat Rabat 3-2.It was a game where the Wolves were always on top although they found Rabat who were always behind them so much so that they scored two goals.Jayden Cutajar scored twice while David Vella Dingli added another goal for Hotsticks. The Blacks had Shawn Falzon notching a brace.Umpires: Edward Hughes and Glen Bonello.From the under-14 league, Marsaskala Summer Nights beat GREE Żurrieq Wolves Hotsticks 3-0 while Qormi Daikin won 3-0 against De La Salle Floriana.
