Dorianne Theuma has claimed her first Assikura Women’s League Coach of the Round award since taking charge at Swieqi United. The award was presented by Women’s National Team Coach Manuela Tesse in recognition of Theuma’s impact on the team.
A former Malta and Swieqi captain, Theuma has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround for Swieqi United following a slow start to the 2024/25 season. Under her leadership, the team displayed outstanding form in the second round of the campaign, climbing to the top of the league standings and securing 16 points throughout the round.
This accolade highlights Theuma’s tactical expertise and dedication in guiding Swieqi United to success. Reflecting on the achievement, Theuma shared:
“The team has shown steady improvement throughout the rounds and is now demonstrating consistency and maturity in every game in their own way. Each award provides an extra boost to strive for even better performances. As I always say, behind every individual award stands a great team. I am incredibly grateful to the players and coaches for their support and dedication this season.”
This marks the third consecutive year that Assikura Insurance Brokers PCC Limited has sponsored the Women’s League, Women’s Youth League, Knock-Out competitions, and the Super Cup.
