The Malta Snooker Academy hosted another day of action-packed fixtures on Tuesday, 7 May 2025, as the National Individual Snooker Championships continued with crucial matches across multiple divisions.
In the Goliath Coatings First Division, Arthur Chetcuti secured his place in the semi-finals with a commanding 3-0 victory over Frans Abdilla in their best-of-five quarter-final playoff. Chetcuti displayed excellent form throughout, not allowing Abdilla any opportunity to settle into the match.
Meanwhile, in the Masters Quarter-Final, Mark Saffrett produced a strong performance to defeat Frans Mintoff 4-1 in a best-of-seven encounter. Saffrett’s precise potting and tactical play saw him take control early and maintain his advantage to book a place in the semi-final stage.
The competition continues later this week as more players aim to progress further in their respective categories and edge closer to the coveted national titles.
