Several crucial encounters took place on Monday evening across the Malta Billiards and Snooker Association competitions, with important victories recorded in both promotion and relegation play-offs.

In the CE Installations Premier League relegation play-off, Joseph Cassar edged past Clinton Falzon in a closely contested encounter, emerging victorious with a narrow 4-3 win. The match remained balanced throughout, with Cassar eventually holding his nerve in the deciding frame to secure a vital result in his fight for Premier League survival.
Meanwhile, in the First Division quarter-final play-off, Saviour Brignone produced an assured performance to defeat Patrick Borg 3-0. Brignone controlled the match from the outset, displaying consistency and composure to book his place in the next stage in convincing fashion.
In the Second Division relegation play-offs, Geoffrey Sciberras overcame Chris Camilleri 3-1. Sciberras recovered well after dropping a frame and gradually imposed himself on the match to claim an important victory and strengthen his hopes of maintaining his status in the division.
