The Maltese Olympic Committee (MOC) held its Elective General Assembly on Wednesday, confirming the leadership team that will guide the organisation for the next term.
The main roles of President, Deputy President, Director of Sport, Director of Finance, and Secretary General were uncontested.
Julian Pace Bonello, Paul Sultana, Kevin Azzopardi, and Charlene Attard kept their positions, while Joanne Cassar will take over as Director of Finance from David Azzopardi.
Five candidates ran for the remaining four spots on the Executive Board, leading to a closely watched election.
With the results now confirmed, the Executive Board will remain the same, with Lucienne Attard, David Azzopardi, Johanna Grech, and Maria Vella-Galea keeping their places on the Board.
This result shows the trust the MOC’s members have in the current leadership and their ongoing efforts to promote Maltese sport both locally and internationally.
The MOC will continue working on upcoming international competitions, athlete development programmes, and strengthening Malta’s role in the Olympic Movement.
