After the long break due to the Maltese national futsal team’s commitment in the qualifying round of the European Championship, the attention now goes to the Enemed Futsal League with the final play-offs to start this week . In this phase four teams will be involved in the semifinals namely current champions Luxol St Andrews, University of Malta ACJ Group, Swieqi United and ŻRQ Bormla.
In the first semifinal which will be played on Wednesday, University of Malta ACJ Group face Swieqi United while next Friday, Luxol will challenge ŻRQ Bormla. Eventually next week there will be a second leg of these semi-finals in order to determine the finalists who will contend for the title for this 2023/24 season.
The final, which will take place at the National Sports School Pavilion, will be the best of three clashes with the first match being played on May 8 with the second confrontation to be played two days after. If a team wins both games there will be no need for the third final which is scheduled for May 17th.
