Floriana have learned their potential opponents in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, should they overcome Irish champions Shamrock Rovers in the opening round.
The Greens were paired with the winners of the tie between Armenian side FC Ararat-Armenia and Latvian champions Riga FC during Wednesday’s draw.
If Floriana progress past Shamrock Rovers, they will begin the second qualifying round away from home before hosting the return leg in Malta.
While the immediate focus remains on the challenging first-round encounter against Shamrock Rovers, the draw has offered Floriana a glimpse of the road ahead in Europe’s premier club competition.

Both Ararat-Armenia and Riga FC have established themselves as regular participants in UEFA competitions in recent years, meaning Floriana would face another stern test should they reach the next stage.
