Teddy Teuma, who came on as a substitute, secured the victory for Reims at home against Montpellier with a 4-2 win by scoring from a penalty in added time. Reims had established an early two-goal lead in the match, but Montpellier mounted a strong comeback and reduced the deficit in the 37th minute.

Reims extended their lead with another goal in the 57th minute. However, just one minute over time Montpellier narrowed the margin to 3-2 and continued to press for an equaliser. Reims responded with a deadly counter-attack that resulted in a penalty in the 93rd minute, which the Maltese player Teuma converted to seal the 4-2 victory.

With this win, Reims moved up to occupy fourth place, level on points with Marseille, while Montpellier suffered their fifth league defeat and find themselves second from bottom with only 4 points.
