Paul Pogba is expected to meet with Monaco officials to discuss ending his contract with the French club, despite originally signing a two-year agreement that was due to run until 2027.
The 2018 World Cup winner joined Monaco last summer after being cleared to return to professional football following a doping-related suspension. His return marked a new chapter in his career after a lengthy period away from competitive action.
However, Pogba now appears set to leave Monaco after just one season. Discussions with the club’s management are expected to determine the terms of his departure and bring his time in the Principality to an early end.
Despite the expected departure, the 33-year-old midfielder is already attracting interest from clubs in the United States. According to reports cited by TVM Sport, both DC United and Inter Miami are among the teams monitoring his situation.
Pogba’s next move therefore remains uncertain, with the Frenchman potentially looking towards a new challenge abroad after his brief spell with Monaco.
