Italian Serie C club AC Trento has announced the tragic passing of youth team player Sami Said, who died at the age of 18 following a car accident in Morocco.
The club confirmed the heartbreaking news in an official statement released on Monday, expressing its deep sorrow over the loss of a young player who had been part of the club’s youth development programme.

“Sami was part of the yellow-blue family, sharing with teammates, coaches and staff a journey of sporting and personal growth that will remain in the memories of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him,” the club stated.
AC Trento described the loss as an unimaginable tragedy, saying that words could not fully express the sense of emptiness felt throughout the club. The president, management, youth academy staff and Sami’s teammates extended their deepest condolences to his family, friends and everyone close to him during this difficult time.
The club remembered Sami not only as a promising young footballer but also as a valued member of the Trento family, whose presence and character left a lasting impression on those around him.
“Farewell, Sami,” the club concluded in its emotional tribute.
