Qala Saints have etched their name into the history books after being officially crowned BOV GFA First Division Champions for the very first time. The club’s maiden top-flight title comes after a dominant season in which they secured an unassailable lead over their closest challengers, Nadur Youngsters, with three matches to play.
This triumph marks a momentous milestone for Qala, as they finally add the prestigious BOV GFA First Division League Trophy to their growing collection of silverware. The club’s trophy cabinet already boasts the GFA Cup, the Super Cup, and the GFA Second Division League, making this season’s league success a fitting culmination of their rise in Gozitan football.
The title celebrations took place at the Gozo Stadium, where Charmaine Borg, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Gozo Branch, and Samuel Azzopardi, President of the Gozo Football Association, presented the coveted league trophy to the newly crowned champions.
