Luqa St Andrew’s did not find it easy at all to beat Lija Athletic 4-3 in a game from section B of the Fuel 10 K Under 16 Futsal League.
After finding themselves a goal down, Luqa reacted so much that by the end of the first half they turned the score in their favour to 3-1.
Despite everything, Lija stayed behind the opponents although this effort was not enough to save the match.
Zac Zammit, Marc Joe Micallef, Lyon Testa and Matthias Spiteri scored the most important goals for Luqa St Andrew’s while Andrea Cachia, Rhys Mark Attard and Melvin Perry responded for Lija.
Referees were Jonathan Balzan and Sara Kankaras.
In another match from section A, Mosta dominated the match against Floriana so much that they won 7-1.
Andrea Shribano scored twice while Dayle Cachia, Francois Micallef, Jean Cilia, Luca Chetcuti and Daniel Belfiore Sciberras added more goals for the Blues.
Floriana scored the only goal through Euan Galea.
Referees were Jonathan Balzan and Sara Kankaras.
