Lija Athletics B climbed third place in the Enemed Women’s Futsal League table as they beat University of Malta ACJ Group 2-1. It was a very interesting encounter between two teams that wanted to keep their position much higher in the table. The second team from Ħal Lija got a minimal advantage until the end of the first half and although the University players tied the score, their opponents still got the winning goal towards the end. Lised Romero surged Lija B with Maria Mizzi equalizing the score for University of Malta ACJ Group. Lija B’s winning goal came in the second half through Cheryl Cachia. Referees: Jean Pierre Mifsud and Jonathan Balzan. Santa Margerita achieved a 7-1 victory against Parr Mela Rockets Futsal. Santa Margerita dominated this encounter and by the end of the first half they were already 4-1 ahead. In the second half, they increased their advantage so that they are now in fifth position in the table. Audrienne Chetcuti, Rohanne Zahra and Ilenia Navarro scored twice each while Shakira Bugeja added the score for her team. Angie Chacon scored the only goal for Parr Mela. Referees were Danilo Francalanza and Stefania Bonnici.
