The draws for the E & L Futsal Trophy were held as holders University of Malta ACJ Group, Luxol, Ta’ Xbiex and Swieqi United were seeded to avoid playing in the first phase. The winners of last year’s competition will face the winner of the match between Birżebbuġa St Peter’s Futsal and Gżira United Santa Margerita. Luxol went up to play against the Maltese under-18 team. Swieqi will be playing against the winner between Sliema and the Maltese under-19 selection with Ta’ Xbiex waiting for the winner of the clash between ŻRQ Bormla and Marsaskala Futsal. In the meantime there is a possibility that Luxol and the University of Malta will play against each other in the semi-finals of the competition. At the same time there was also the draw for the Enemed Women’s Futsal Trophy where Lija Athletics A and B went up to play against each other. At the same time, the winner of this match will play against the winner between Santa Margherita AFC and Parr Mela Rockets. In a match which promises to be very interesting duel, Swieqi will play against Mtarfa with the winner facing University of Malta ACJ Group.
