Following their recent successes in the local women’s football scene, Birkirkara will now embark on a new project as they prepare to compete in the local women’s futsal league from next season.
A press conference held last Friday was addressed by committee member Christian Camilleri, team manager Robert Teuma, and coaches Sinclair Galea and Maria Coppola.

Christian Camilleri revealed that discussions with Teuma began several months ago and that he immediately embraced the proposal once it was presented to him. He explained that this will mark the club’s first-ever participation in women’s futsal and expressed great enthusiasm ahead of the launch of the new project.
Team manager Robert Teuma said that, after spending the last three years united as a group, the opportunity to now represent the town of Birkirkara fills the team with pride. He added that the club has already started working on its future plans and confirmed that the team will also participate in the beach soccer league.
Coaches Sinclair Galea and Maria Coppola also addressed the media, stating that they will work closely together in full synergy with the aim of helping the team achieve positive results from the outset.
