The 2025 F1 Academy season will conclude spectacularly under the bright lights of Las Vegas, following a journey across three continents. Organisers announced on Monday that the all-female racing series will feature seven rounds and 14 races, with new stops in Shanghai, Montreal, and Las Vegas added to the calendar.
The season will begin in March at the Shanghai International Circuit in China and close in November in Las Vegas. North America takes centre stage with three rounds: Miami in May, Montreal in June, and the season finale in November. Europe will have just one stop, at Zandvoort in the Netherlands, in late August. Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah circuit and Singapore’s Marina Bay circuit will host races in April and October, respectively. All events will run alongside Formula One Grands Prix, providing the F1 Academy with greater visibility and integration into the motorsport world.
F1 Academy managing director Susie Wolff highlighted the significance of Las Vegas hosting the finale, calling it a landmark moment for the series. “Closing our season in Las Vegas will be a historic moment,” she said. “Its inclusion underscores the immense support we receive from Formula One and Liberty Media.”
Now entering its third season, the F1 Academy is committed to fostering female talent in motorsport. Backed by all ten Formula One teams, the series uses Tatuus F4 cars powered by 1.4-litre engines, capable of reaching speeds of 240kph. Each team nominates a driver, and the cars sport liveries reflecting their affiliated F1 teams.
In a further boost to its growing profile, Netflix is set to release a documentary series about the F1 Academy in 2025, following the success of Drive to Survive. The documentary aims to shine a spotlight on the drivers and the competition, enhancing the series’ appeal to a global audience.
Meanwhile, this week’s Las Vegas Grand Prix will feature a Ferrari support race for the first time. The addition comes after criticism of limited on-track action during last year’s inaugural event and is expected to enhance the race programme.
With its finale set in Las Vegas, the 2025 F1 Academy season promises to deliver an exhilarating global platform for female racers and cement its place as a key player in the motorsport world.
