Verstappen: We have problems that we have to solve

Dutchman Max Verstappen, Red Bull driver and Formula 1 world champion, said his team must deal with “problems” if it wants to beat Ferrari and Charles Leclerc and win both titles.

Although Verstappen has won the last two races, Emilia-Romagna and Miami, he is still behind Leclerc, who has 19 points more in the general classification.

Max had a hydraulic fluid leak from his car in training in Miami on Friday, and he did not finish the races in Bahrain and Australia, while his teammate Sergio Perez had problems with the engine in Miami.

“We still have a few problems to solve. We’re fast, but Friday was awful for me… which isn’t great if you want a good weekend. Also, Checo had a couple of problems in the race and we have to solve that. But, it is clear that there is a lot of potential, we just have to make sure that the car is reliable “, said Verstappen.

“We have to make sure that things like this do not happen, of course, we are working on it,” said the Dutchman.

Max said that Red Bull cannot afford an unreliable car if it wants to beat Ferrari and Leclerc.

“We have to have a positive weekend without any problems. We had that in Imola, but we have to solve the problems. As you can see, the car is fast and I’m happy about that. “Imagine having a slow and reliable car, that’s probably not a good thing,” added the world champion.
