Statistics for Chinese Grand Prix as F1 returns to Shanghai

The Formula One Chinese Grand Prix returned to the calendar in thrilling fashion at the Shanghai International Circuit, marking the second round of the 24-race season and the first of six sprint weekends in 2024.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen continued his dominant form, securing both pole position with a time of 1:33.660 and victory in Sunday’s main race. The Dutchman showcased his skill on the 5.451km circuit, managing tire wear and race pace to take the checkered flag in commanding style.

The 56-lap contest was a true test of strategy, with teams balancing tire degradation against performance on the fast yet technical track. While Verstappen’s win appeared comfortable, the battle behind him provided plenty of excitement, with close fights for podium positions and points.
