Esteban Ocon will leave Haas at the end of the 2026 season but insists he remains determined to continue racing in Formula 1.
The Frenchman confirmed his departure on Wednesday, bringing his spell with the US-owned team to an end after two seasons.
Ocon, who joined from Alpine in 2025, is 16th in the drivers’ standings, 13 points behind British teammate Oliver Bearman. Haas are seventh in the constructors’ championship.
“My time with Haas F1 Team will come to an end at the end of the 2026 season,” Ocon wrote on social media.
“I leave this project with my head held high and proud of my performances in what were not always the easiest of circumstances for various reasons and factors outside of my control.”

The 30-year-old pledged to remain fully committed for the rest of the campaign, despite uncertainty over his next move.
“There are still many races to go this season and, as always, I will give it my everything behind the wheel for myself and for my team,” he said.
“I am still motivated. I am still hungry. This is absolutely not the end of my Formula 1 career.”
Haas confirmed the split in a separate statement, thanking Ocon for his contribution. Ferrari-backed Brazilian Rafael Câmara is among the candidates to replace him, according to Reuters.
Ocon’s options for a race seat in 2027 appear limited. Racing Bulls and Cadillac have yet to confirm their line-ups, but both have alternatives, including retaining their current drivers.
A test and reserve role could offer another route to remaining in the sport. Ocon previously spent 2019 as Mercedes’ reserve driver after losing his seat at Force India.
He returned to the grid with Renault the following year and claimed his maiden Grand Prix victory with the renamed Alpine team in Hungary in 2021.
