Charles Leclerc set the fastest time in the opening practice session for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, leading a Ferrari one-two on home soil.
The Monegasque driver finished ahead of Ferrari team-mate Lewis Hamilton as the Scuderia made an impressive start to the race weekend in front of its home crowd.

Leclerc’s strong performance will provide encouragement for Ferrari as they prepare for the remainder of the Monza weekend. The team will be hoping to maintain its pace through qualifying and into Sunday’s race.
The opening session also gave the drivers and teams their first opportunity to assess the cars and tyres around the high-speed Monza circuit.
With Ferrari occupying the top two positions, attention now turns to the remaining practice sessions and qualifying as the Italian Grand Prix weekend continues.
