Kimi Antonelli says he intends to reassert himself against Mercedes team-mate George Russell when Formula 1 returns at the Bahrain Grand Prix, being staged in Malaysia.
Russell’s victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix reduced Antonelli’s championship advantage to 66 points with eight rounds remaining.

The two Mercedes drivers have emerged as the central figures in the 2026 title battle, although Max Verstappen could still have an influence on the championship during the closing races.
Antonelli heads into the next round determined to respond after Russell’s strong weekend in Baku.
