Isack Hadjar is set to miss this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix after suffering a wrist injury, according to reports in the Dutch media.
The Red Bull driver is unlikely to take part in the 12th round of the 2026 Formula 1 season at Zandvoort, with a final decision expected following a medical assessment ahead of the event.
Should Hadjar be ruled out, Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson is expected to return to Red Bull to partner Max Verstappen. Yuki Tsunoda would then replace Lawson at Racing Bulls.
Hadjar has enjoyed an impressive first half of the season with Red Bull, establishing himself as a regular points scorer since earning his promotion to the senior team.
The French-Algerian driver’s absence would therefore represent a setback for Red Bull as the team prepares for the second half of the campaign.
Lawson is also enjoying a strong season with Racing Bulls, having recorded eight points-scoring finishes so far in 2026.
The New Zealander previously made two Grand Prix starts for Red Bull last season, but was sent back to Racing Bulls after a difficult opening to the campaign. Tsunoda subsequently replaced him before eventually losing his seat to Hadjar.
Tsunoda has remained part of the Red Bull set-up as a reserve driver and has attended several Grands Prix this season, leaving him well placed to step back into a race seat if Lawson is promoted.
A final decision on Hadjar’s participation in the Dutch Grand Prix is expected after his last medical check before the weekend.
