The Formula 1 season could face disruption because of the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, according to F1 president Stefano Domenicali.
Domenicali said that the final seven Grands Prix of the season, including races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, could become a major issue if the current conflicts continue. A final decision on whether these events will go ahead is expected to be made in mid-September.
The Formula 1 president confirmed that no decision has yet been taken on whether the remaining races could be moved to alternative locations if necessary.
Domenicali, 61, has already been forced to cancel Grands Prix scheduled to take place in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia in April due to the conflict between Israel and Iran.
