ZANIOLO ABOUT THE RETURN TO SERIE A: I've been a Juventus fan since I was a little kid, I don't rule out the possibility of a transfer

The Italian national team member Nicolo Zaniolo, in spite of the fact that he grew up in the Roma team, in a statement for the Italian newspaper “La Gazzetta dello Sport” points out that he is a big fan of another Italian club – Juventus, and that his idol is the French midfielder Paul Pogba.

Zaniolo left Roma after a dispute with the club, and in February of this year, he left Serie A and joined Turkish club Galatasaray.

The Italian was literally chased out of Rome after a lot of pressure from the old “La Lupa” fans, and after winning the title with the Turkish club, Zaniolo is not thinking about leaving Istanbul in the upcoming transfer window.

“I am happy in Istanbul and next season they will play in the Champions League. However, in case of a good offer until the end of August that would satisfy the club, I do not rule out the possibility of a transfer,” said the 23-year-old footballer.

During the previous transfer window, he was linked with Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina, but the offensive midfielder does not hide that he has been a fan of Turin’s Juventus since childhood.

“As I mentioned, I am open to all offers, including staying at Galatasaray, but when it comes to fan sympathy, my heart belongs to Juventus, and my idol is Paul Pogba,” said Zaniolo.

When asked if he would play for the club from Turin in these moments when the club is in crisis and will almost certainly be without Europe, the Italian had no dilemma.

“Juventus is Juventus even without the Champions League and other European competitions, and in case all three parties come to an agreement, I will be happy to move to Turin, but I repeat that I am happy in Galatasaray and I will accept whatever the club decides,” said the Italian representative.

In the previous season in Galatasaray, Zaniolo played 11 games, scored five goals and recorded one assist.
