Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champions of France, have announced that former French midfielder Yohan Cabaye will take on the role of sporting director for the club’s youth academy.
The 38-year-old Cabaye, who represented Les Bleus in 48 matches, including the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 European Championship, previously played for PSG 57 times from 2013 to 2015, with stints in the Premier League for Newcastle United and Crystal Palace in between.
In a statement, PSG expressed that this decision was made due to Cabaye’s extensive experience and knowledge at the highest level. The club also emphasised their commitment to developing and nurturing young talent from the Paris region, recognising it as a valuable asset for their future success.
