In the second match of the YoHealth Malta Premier, Żabbar St. Patrick will face Sliema Wanderers at 21:00 at the National Stadium.
Żabbar St. Patrick have mixed youth with experience during the summer transfer window. They’ve brought in players like Nicky Agius, Cameron Dalli, Zean Leonardi, Timmy Eviparker, and Kean Scicluna, along with experienced midfielder Ryan Scicluna and proven goal scorer Mario Fontanella. Their aim is to establish themselves among the top teams in Maltese football as soon as possible.
They’ve also added several foreign players, including defender Mayron Marques, who was with Ħamrun Spartans last season, as well as Samuel Gomes, Toni Silva, Youngwon Im, Pedro Cejas, and Abu Dumbuya.
Sliema Wanderers have been one of the busiest teams in the transfer market, adding real quality in their bid for the league title. Goalkeeper Rasheed Al Tumi is back after a spell in Moldova and is joined by Thiago Espindola, Luke Montebello, Roko Prša, and Fernandinho.
In their last encounter last season, Żabbar beat Sliema 1-0 with a Strahinja Jovancic first-half goal.
