Voting is now open for the LifeStar Most Valuable Player and the Coach of the Month for April 2026, following the conclusion of another decisive month in the YoHealth Malta Premier.
The April selection covers Match Weeks 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32, a crucial stretch which brought the regular league season to a close and confirmed the final picture ahead of the next phase of the competition.
Several standout players left their mark during the month. Among those recognised as match MVPs were Iago Mendonca of Floriana, Dodo Ailton Soares of Marsaxlokk, Jackson Mendoza of Valletta, Nhaysonn Da Silva Rosa of Tarxien Rainbows, Alessandro Coppola of Birkirkara, Uros Duranovic of Sliema Wanderers, Diogo Joao Tavares of Valletta, Andrew Borg of Gżira United, Federico Nicholas Varela of Floriana, Giancarlo Goncalves of Mosta, Cláudio Murici of Tarxien Rainbows, Thiago Espindola of Sliema Wanderers, Charles M’Mombwa of Floriana, Mouad El Fanis and Joseph Mbong of Ħamrun Spartans, Mario Fontanella and Brian Ariel Gambarte of Żabbar St Patrick, Bjorn Kristensen and Miullen Carvalho of Hibernians, Karl Sargent of Gżira United, Leandro Damian Aguirre and James Joseph Kirby of Marsaxlokk, Claudio Henrique and Anthony Abidemi Lokosa of Tarxien Rainbows, and Jayden Farrugia of Mosta.
The award comes at a significant point in the season, with April producing important results, decisive individual performances, and major tactical calls from the technical areas. Coaches were also under pressure to deliver, particularly with clubs fighting for position, momentum, and survival objectives as the regular campaign reached its conclusion.
