Tarxien Rainbows FC have officially confirmed that central defender Miguel D’Alessandro will remain with the club for the 2025/26 season, after the club activated the extension clause in his contract.
D’Alessandro joined Tarxien Rainbows from Sliema Wanderers on a permanent transfer ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad. Despite being sidelined for six weeks due to a muscle tear sustained in December, the 26-year-old returned strongly and played an important role in the team’s push for promotion.
Team Manager Dillon expressed his satisfaction with the renewal, praising both D’Alessandro’s professionalism and determination:
“Miguel, our solid central defender, has proven time and time again to be a pillar at the back—strong, determined, and a true team player. His commitment on and off the pitch speaks volumes, and there’s no doubt he’s ready to give everything for the badge and for this club. Despite facing a tough injury last season, he worked tirelessly to recover and return to action as quickly as possible, helping the team when it mattered most.”
D’Alessandro’s extension is seen as an important step in Tarxien Rainbows’ preparations for the upcoming season, as the club looks to build on last season’s progress and aim for a strong campaign in 2025/26.
