Young forward Gabriel Adragna, born in 2006, has officially signed with the 360Sports Malta Premier champions Ħamrun Spartans, coached by his ex-coach at Messina, Giacomo Modica.
Adragna began his football journey at the age of 13, moving from Trapani to Pescara. After two years there, he was picked up by Ascoli, where he continued developing. He then joined Messina, playing a full season in the Italian Primavera, league.
His performances caught the eye of first-team coach Giacomo Modica, who gave him his first senior call-up for a Serie C match against Monopoli. The following season, Modica included Adragna in the first-team squad, and the young forward made four appearances, against Trapani, Juve Next Gen, Taranto, and Cerignola.
After Modica left Messina, Adragna was loaned to Igea Virtus in Serie D, where he finished the season.
Just a few days ago, a surprise move saw Modica, now in charge of Ħamrun Spartans, who will compete in the Champions League qualifiers, bring Adragna with him to Malta, finalising the deal and signing the contract.
