In the first game of Matchday 9 of the YoHealth Malta Premier league, Mosta and Żabbar failed to secure their second win of the season as they ended in a 1-1 draw at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
After a goalless first half, in the 72nd minute, Żabbar took the lead when substitute Samuel Gomes set up Zean Leonardi, who received the ball in a good position and scored from close range, his second goal for Żabbar.
Ten minutes from time, Mosta equalised after Leonardo Fernandes was fouled inside the box, and he calmly converted the resulting penalty.
