As the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 progresses toward its knockout stages, official statistics from UEFA offer a clearer picture of the performances that have defined the tournament so far. With 89 goals scored across 24 group stage matches—averaging 3.71 goals per game, fans have witnessed an attacking, entertaining edition of the competition.
Spain have emerged as the standout team of the group stage, topping several statistical categories. They lead in goals scored (14), ball possession (69%), passing accuracy (89.7%), and total attempts (78). Their dominance reflects a high level of tactical organisation and technical superiority, with players such as Esther González and Alexia Putellas proving instrumental.
González currently leads the scoring charts with four goals, while Putellas has contributed three goals and four assists, making her one of the most influential players of the tournament so far. Other notable attacking contributions include England’s Lauren James, the Netherlands’ Victoria Pelova, and Germany’s Nicole Anyomi, each scoring twice.

Defensively, Sweden stand out with two clean sheets, while Belgium’s goalkeepers have made the most saves (16), highlighting the resilience of their back line. In midfield, players like Lena Oberdorf (Germany) and Jackie Groenen (Netherlands) have been key figures in breaking up play, each registering 17 tackles.
From a team perspective, Germany and England also feature prominently in several metrics. Germany hold the second-highest average possession rate (61.3%) and passing accuracy (85.3%), while Portugal lead in tackles made (65). Norway and Finland top the chart for most balls recovered, with 137 and 136 respectively.
Group stage perfection was achieved by France, Norway, Spain and Sweden, who each claimed nine points from their three matches, underlining their ambitions for the title. Spain’s 14 goals also match the record for most goals scored in a group stage, equalling England’s tally from Euro 2022.
