Napoli striker Viktor Osimhen was operated on at the end of November due to multiple facial fractures. It has been speculated that he could miss the African Cup of Nations because of that, but he is on the list of 28 Nigerian players.
Osimhen was operated on on November 23, and it was announced that he would not be on the field for at least three months. However, the Nigerian striker said earlier this week that he is doing well and that he will be ready for the start of the African Cup of Nations, which will be played from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon.
The odds are high that Nigeria will be stronger for Osimhen, who has scored nine goals in 14 games for Napoli this season in all competitions.
His team is in the group with Egypt, Sudan and Guinea Bissau.
In addition to him, the list also includes former Partizan player Umar Sadik, who imposed himself on the Nigerian coach with good games in Almeria.
