Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong and Manchester United reached an agreement, and Barcelona was offered the requested figure of 65 million for the Dutchman, which the president of Laporta does not want to consider now.
“De Jong is a Barcelona player and until we have to or have an interest in selling him, we don’t want to sell him,” Laporta said, as reported by the BBC.
In 2019, the Dutchman moved from Ajax to Barcelona, with which he signed a five-year contract.
The BBC reported that the transfer agreement is still in place, but that negotiations to complete the deal are slow.
“We know there are offers. If at some point we are interested, we will consider them, but right now, we are not selling the Dutch footballer,” said Laporta.
